My First 2014 Mock Draft

Welcome to my first 2014 NFL mock draft. This is my first three round mock draft. I do predict trades in my mock drafts but not any I bet you thought about before.

1)    Texans- Johnny Manziel QB Texas A&M 6-0 210: The Texans are in a weirdo spot, normally teams picking number one need help almost everywhere. This team is good Quarterback play away from being Superbowl contenders again. Manziel is the hometown kid who has big play potential in his bones.

TRADE ALERT!!! The Rams trade the #2 overall pick to the Bucs for the #7, #38 overall picks and 2015 second and fourth round picks.

Explanation: The Bucs are in desperate need of pass rushers and are one of a few teams very high on Clowney and are looking to trade up to draft him.

2) Bucs- Jadeveon Clowney DE South Carolina 6-5 275: The Bucs pay a hefty price to move up and draft the best pass rush prospect since Mario Williams in 2006.

3) Jaguars- Teddey Bridgewater QB Louisville 6-3 205: The Jaguars have a simple choice: take Clowney if available or draft that franchise Quarterback they never had. With Clowney gone it’s a simple choice to take Bridgewater.

4) Browns- Sammy Watkins WR Clemson 6-1 205: The Browns want either Manziel or Bridgewater, with both gone they could go Bortles but aren’t as high on him as they are on Watkins; so the Browns grab Watkins and give whoever is playing Quarterback next year a great duo of receivers.

5) Raiders- Khalil Mack OLB Buffalo 6-3 250: The Raiders could go Bortles here but when a team has so many needs they need to take the best player available and that is Mack who can cover Tight Ends in open space and rush the passer both very well.

6) Falcons- Jake Matthews OT Texas A&M 6-5 305: The Falcons need to keep franchise Quarterback Matt Ryan standing upright so he take advantage of the play makers the Falcons have at wide receiver.

7) Rams- Greg Robinson OT Auburn 6-5 325: The Rams have given Quarterback Sam Bradford every chance to succeed except given him a strong offensive line. Robinson has the highest upside of any offensive lineman in the draft.

8) Vikings- Blake Bortles QB UCF 6-3 210: The Vikings have swung and missed on a franchise Quarterback in the past. Bortles may have the most upside of any Quarterback in the draft.

9) Bills- Eric Ebron TE UNC 6-4 245: The Bills have a couple of good recievers in Steve Johnson and Robert Woods but need to find a play maker to work the middle of the field. Ebron is the best tight end prospect in the draft and may be the best since Vernon Davis in 2006.

10) Lions- Marquise Lee WR USC 6-1 200: The Lions don’t have a play maker outside of Megatron and Reggie Bush; Lee will give Quarterback Matthew Stafford a full arsenal of weapons at his disposal.

11) Titans- Kony Ealy DE Missouri 6-5 275: The Titans have yet to find a constant pass rusher over the years. Ealy is rising up draft boards with his athletic ability and smart play.

12) Giants- Taylor Lewan OT Michigan 6-7 315: The Giants offensive line played horribly last year; mostly on the left side. Lewan comes in and starts day one at left tackle.

13) Rams- Anthony Barr OLB UCLA 6-4 250: Barr’s slide has come to an end, a once top five pick slides all the way to thirteen where despite that Barr plays better in a 3-4 defense the Rams pick him up; adding Barr give the Rams one of the most athletic linebacker group in the NFL.

14) Bears- Timmy Jernigan DT Florida St 6-2 300: The Bears were one of the worst teams at stopping the run last year. Jernigan was one of the reasons Florida St was so good at stopping the run last year.

15) Steelers- Darqueze Dennard CB Michigan St 5-11 200: The Steelers need to add some youth to their defense, especially at the corner spot. Dennard is the best corner in the draft and can be a starter from day one.

TRADE ALERT!!! The Ravens trade the #16, #78 overall picks to the Rams for the #38, #44, #75 overall picks, and 2015 third round pick.

Explanation: The Rams use all the fire power they have and jump back into the first round right before Dallas to grab the top safety in the draft.

16) Rams- HaHa Clinton-Dix S Alabama 6-1 210: The Rams need to find a play maker at safety to go along with the young corners they have and the amazing pass rush they have up front.

17) Cowboys- Aaron Donald DT Pittsburg 6-0 285: With the Rams trading back into the first round and grab Clinton-Dix so they go with the pass rushing Defensive Tackle. Donald is the best pass rushing Defensive Tackle in the draft.

18) Jets- Mike Evans WR Texas A&M 6-5 225: The Jets have zero weapons at receiver and with little help around Quarterback Geno Smith he will never succeed in the NFL. Evans gives Smith a tall read zone target to throw back shoulder fades to.

19) Dolphins- Zack Martin OT Notre Dame 6-4 310: The Dolphins need help all along the offensive line especially consider possibly all five starters may not be playing for the Dolphins next year. Martin can play almost any position on the offensive line and that is always a plus.

20) Cardinals- Cyrus Kouandjia OT Alabama 6-5 310: The Cardinals have a solid team except for their offensive line and need to rebuild it starting at the left tackle spot.

TRADE ALERT!!! The Packers trade the #21 overall pick to the Raiders for the #36, #67 overall picks, and 2015 second and fifth round pick.

Explanation: The Raiders jump back into the first round to grab the last first round prospect at Quarterback before the Browns pick again at #26.

21) Raiders- Derek Carr QB Fresno St 6-3 215: The Raiders passed on Bortles earlier in the round, as did the Browns. The Browns pick again at #26 and both teams still need a new Quarterback. The Raiders jump back into the first round a grab the younger brother of former number one overall pick David Carr.

22) Eagles- Kelvin Benjamin WR Florida St 6-5 235: Both Jeremy Maclin and Riley Cooper are free agents and neither is likely to return. Benjamin will give the Eagles a big tall receiver opposite of speedy DeSean Jackson.

23) Chiefs- C.J. Mosley ILB Alabama 6-2 235: The Chiefs have three great linebackers in Derrick Johnson, Justin Houston, and Tamba Hali. Adding Mosley to that other Inside Linebacker spot next to Johnson would give the Chiefs the best set of linebackers in the AFC.

24) Bengals- Justin Gilbert CB Oklahoma St 6-0 200: The Bengals have a scary young defense but need to add some youth at the corner spot. Other than Dre Kirkpatrick who was drafted in the first round in 2012, all the Bengals corners are up there in age or have injury history. Adding Gilbert to Kirkpatrick and hopefully a healthy Leon Hall would give the Bengals a great trio of young corners.

TRADE ALERT!!! The Chargers trade the #25, #89 overall picks to the Texans for the #33, #65 overall picks, and teams swap fourth and fifth round picks.

Explanation: The Texans defense is good but is still missing that big physical run stuffer at Noise Tackle. Texans trade up eight spots to jump teams like New England and San Francisco who are looking to improve their run defense to draft the best run stopping Defensive Tackle in the draft.

25) Texans- Louis Nix NT Notre Dame 6-2 345: Nix is the best Noise Tackle in the draft being about to stuff the inside run but yet still gets pressure on the Quarterback. Paring Nix with stud J.J. Watt would only make the Texans front seven even better.

TRADE ALERT!!! The Browns trade the #26 overall pick to the Cowboys for the #47, #79 overall picks, and 2015 first round pick.

Explanation: Without a Quarterback on the with a first round pick on the board the Browns trade back and pick up an extra pick in next year’s draft to allow the Cowboys to add another needed piece to their poor defense.

26) Cowboys- Calvin Pryor S Louisville 6-2 210: The Cowboys added a pass rushing Defensive Tackle earlier in the round now they trade back into the round to grab the second best safety in the draft.

27) Saints- Dee Ford OLB Auburn 6-2 245: The Saints defense turned around this season switching to a 3-4 base defense. Adding Ford would give the Saints a dominate pass rusher from the linebacker spot.

28) Panthers- Odell Beckham Jr LSU WR 5-11 200: The Panthers can’t keep ignoring the fact that in order for Cam Newton to succeed as a franchise Quarterback they need to provide him with weapons. Beckham is rising up draft boards quick with his good route running and early impact ability.

29) Patriots- Jaco Amaro TE Texas Tech 6-5 260: This pick is pretty consistent among many mock drafts. The Patriots need to add play makers to Quarterback Tom Brady’s arsenal especially since a year ago at this time Brady had two great Tight Ends at his disposal and now one is in jail and the other gets hurt on extra point attempts.

30) 49ers- Stephon Tuitt DE Notre Dame 6-6 315: The 49ers need to start looking at replacing savvy veteran Justin Smith at Defensive End soon. Being able to play all the spots on the defensive line, Tuitt can start in as a rotation player and become a full time starter in a year or so when Smith moves on.

TRADE ALERT!!! The Broncos trade the #31 overall pick to the Redskins for the #34 overall pick, and a fifth and seventh round picks.

Explanation: The Redskins need to upgrade their offensive line horribly. The Skins give up a couple of late round picks to jump Seattle and San Diego, both who are looking at offensive line help, and grab the last first round prospect offensive lineman.

31) Redskins- Morgan Moses OT Virginia 6-6 325: The Redskins have a pro bowl player at Left Tackle with Trent Williams, adding Moses to the right side will give the Skins a needed bookend of tackles to protect franchise Quarterback Robert Griffin III.

32) Seahawks- Tony Niklas TE Notre Dame 6-6 275: The Seahawks would of loved to get their hands on Moses but with no tackle worth the pick here the Seahawks grab a big play making Tight End with the last pick of the first round.

33) Charger- Jason Verrett CB TCU 5-10 175

34) Broncos- Brandin Cooks WR Oregon St 5-10 185

35) Browns- Marcus Roberson CB Florida 6-0 195

36) Packers- ReShede Hageman DE Minnesota 6-6 310

37) Falcons- Scott Crichton DE Oregon St 6-3 265

38) Ravens- Jarvis Landry WR LSU 6-0 195

39) Jaguars- Bradley Roby CB Ohio St 5-11 190

40) Vikings- David Yankey G Stanford 6-5 315

41) Bills- Antonio Richardson OT Tennessee 6-6 325

42) Titans- Lamarcus Joyner CB Florida St 5-8 190

43) Giants- Austin Seferian-Jenkins TE Washington 6-6 275

44) Ravens- Trent Murphy OLB Stanford 6-6 260

45) Lions- Gabe Jackson G Mississippi St 6-3 340

46) Steelers- Devante Adams WR Fresno St 6-2 215

47) Browns- Da’Deem Carey RB Arizona 5-10 205

48) Ravens- Kelcy Quarles DE South Carolina 6-4 300

49) Jets- Jimmy Garopplol QB Eastern Illinois 6-2 225

50) Dolphins- Tre Mason RB Auburn 5-9 205

51) Bears- Ryan Shazier OLB Ohio St 6-2 230

TRADE ALERT!!! The Cardinals trade the #52, #84 overall picks to the 49ers for the #55, #77 overall picks, and seventh round pick.

Explanation: The 49ers jump the Packers and Eagles, both who are looking for help at safety, and grab the third best safety to pair with last year’s first round pick Eric Reid.

52) 49ers- Jimmie Ward S Northern Illinois 5-11 195

53) Packers- Chris Borland ILB Wisconsin 6-0 245

54) Eagles- De’Anthony Thomas RB Oregon 5-9 170

55) Cardinals- Xavier Su’a-Filo G UCLA 6-3 305

56) Bengals- Allen Robinson WR Penn St 6-3 210

57) Chargers- Jack Mewhort OT Ohio St 6-6 310

58) Colts- Dominique Easley DT Florida 6-2 285

59) Saints- A.J. McCarron QB Alabama 6-3 215

60) Panthers- Jackson Jeffcoat DE Texas 6-4 250

61) Patriots- Travis Swanson C Arkansas 6-4 300

62) 49ers- Jordan Matthews WR Vanderbilt 6-3 205

63) Broncos- JaWuan James OT Tennessee 6-6 320

64) Seahawks- Marcus Smith DE Louisville 6-3 250

65) Chargers- Kyle Van Noy OLB BYU 6-3 235

66) Redskins- Keith McGill CB Utah 6-3 215

67) Packers- C.J. Fiedorowicz TE Iowa 6-6 265

68) Falcons- Carlos Hyde RB Ohio St 6-0 235

69) Jets- Cyril Richardson G Baylor 6-5 340

70) Jaguars- Paul Richardson WR Colorado 6-1 175

TRADE ALERT!!! The Browns trade the #71, #79 overall picks to the Redskins for Quarterback Kirk Cousins, and 2015 fifth round pick.

Explanation: The Redskins are looking to move Cousins for some draft picks, the Browns feel that outside of the top four Quarterback prospects Cousins is their next best option. By giving up two of their three third round picks the Browns grab a guy they believe can be their franchise Quarterback given the weapons they have around him.

71) Redskins- Ego Fergusion DT LSU 6-2 310

72) Vikings- Louchiez Purfoy CB Florida 6-0 190

73) Bills- Deone Bucannon S Washington St 6-1 215

74) Giants- Martavis Bryant WR Clemson 6-4 200

75) Ravens- Marcus Martin C USC 6-3 310

76) Lions- Pierre Desir CB Lindenwood 6-1 195

My First 2013 Mock Draft

Attention ladies and gentlement I am BACK!!! Back for another NFL draft with my mock drafts. To kick it all off I give you my first mock draft. Welcome to my first 2013 NFL mock draft. Note that the picks number 31 and 32 as well as picks 61 and 62 have a chance of being flipped because of the outcome of Superbowl XLVII. This is my first two round mock draft. I do predict trades in my mock drafts but not any I bet you thought about before.

1)    Chiefs- Luke Joeckel OT Texas A&M: The Chiefs need to find a franchise Quarterback and with none worth this pick they select the best offensive tackle in the draft. With both receiver Dwayne Bowe and tackle Brandon Albert about to be free agents, the Chiefs may let Albert to walk so they can resign Bowe.

2)    Jaguars- Damontre Moore DE Texas A&M: The Jaguars were in the bottom five in sacks in 2012. Moore has come on strong since the second half of the college season and is a likely top five pick.

3)    Raiders- Star Lotulelei DT Utah: The Raiders defensive line was awful in 2012. They lacked effort and professionalism. Lotulelei will bring both to Oakland.

4)    Eagles- Geno Smith QB WVU: With Chip Kelly in Philly he will being looking for a Quarterback who can run his style of play. While Smith isn’t as athletic as some of the Quarterbacks Kelly has coached, he will be the best passer he has ever had.

5)    Lions- Jarvis Jones OLB Georgia: While Jones would fit best in a 3-4 defense, the Lions grab the best prospect in the draft and hope he can bring even more pressure to a talented front seven defense.

TRADE ALERT!!! The Browns trade the #6 overall pick and a sixth round pick to the Bucs for the #13, #43 overall picks.

Explanation: The Bucs need to find a playmaker at cornerback as they pass defense in 2012 was horrible. The Browns trade back looking to add a second round pick that they lost in the 2012 supplemental draft.

6)  Bucs- Dee Milliner CB Alabama: The Bucs need a playmaker at cornerback. Milliner is the best corner in the draft and will give the Bucs a great young combo with Milliner and former Bama teammate, Mark Barron.

7) Cardinals- Chance Warmack G Alabama: The Cardinals do need a new Quarterback but there isn’t one worth the pick here. Instead the Cardinals grab the best guard prospect in years to help stabilize the team’s offensive line.

8) Bills- Keenan Allen WR California: The Bills also need a new Quarterback but again there isn’t one with the pick. Instead they grab a receiver to provide another weapon for whoever plays Quarterback next season.

9) Jets- Barkevious Mingo OLB LSU: The Jets have lacked consistent Quarterback play over the past few seasons there pass rush has also suffered. Mingo is raw but has a high ceiling and could turn into a great pass rusher.

10) Titans- Bjoern Werner DE Florida St: The Titans were one of the worst in sacks last year. Werner is nothing special but he is a great player, compares very well to Rams Chris Long.

 11) Chargers- Eric Fisher OT Central Michigan: The Chargers have a decision to make. Phillip Rivers is set to become a free agent soon and they have to decide whether to pay him top dollar or let him walk. In the last two seasons the team would think walk but with better protection he could return to his franchise talent level.

12) Dolphins- Cordarrelle Patterson WR Tennessee: The Dolphins have no real number one option at receiver for Quarteback Ryan Tannehill. Patterson only has one year at division one level after two years at the JUCO level. He has the potential to turn into a big play receiver.

13) Browns- Dion Jordan DE Oregon: The Browns defense needs to put more pressure on opposing Quarterbacks. Jordan is a bit raw and is a former tight end but has a high motor and a huge upside.

14) Panthers- Sheldon Richardson DT Missouri: For years the Panthers have avoided drafting defensive tackles in the first round. But with this a glaring issue on defense and with the Panthers wanting to keep offensive lineman off of stud linebacker Luke Kuechly they must draft Richardson who is soaring up draft boards.

TRADE ALERT!!! The Saints trade the #15 overall pick, 2013 third round pick, and a 2014 fifth round pick to the Bears for the #20, #40 overall picks and 2014 third and sixth round picks.

Explanation: Brian Urlacher is getting up there in age, while he isn’t going to retire this offseason he is well on the wrong side of 30. Finding a replacement to help bring youth to this defense is needed.

15) Bears- Manti Te’o MLB Notre Dame: While Te’o’s stock has fallen because of his hoax girlfriend and his questionable honesty; he is still a hell of a linebacker who can be a leader of the Bears’ defense when Urlacher retires.

16) Rams- Johnathan Cooper G UNC: The second guard taken in the top half of the first round, Cooper is a physical lineman who will provide more stability to the Rams improving offensive line.

17) Steelers- Johnathan Hankins NT Ohio St: The Steelers have failed to find the answer at noise tackle. Hankins will provide the Steelers the finishing touch to their younger defensive line.

TRADE ALERT!!! The Cowboys trade the #18 overall pick to the 49ers for the #32 and #62 overall picks, the Colts fifth round pick, and the Bengals seventh round pick.

Explanation: The 49ers have pro bowl safety Dashon Goldson set to become a free agent, in the event he doesn’t return a replacement will be needed.

18) 49ers- Kenny Vaccaro S Texas: Vaccaro is the only sure fire first round safety in the draft. He can play either in the box or in single high coverage, ability like that will only help the 49ers defense in the event that Goldson leaves as a free agent.

19) Giants- Alexander Olgetree MLB Georgia: The Giants don’t have a long term solution at middle linebacker. Olgetree has huge upside and can play at any linebacker spot in a 4-3 defense.

20) Saints- Sam Montgomery OLB LSU: The Saints are switching to a 3-4 defense and with no pass rushers before the switch; they must invest this pick into a pass rusher. While Montgomery doesn’t have as high of ceiling as his former teammate Mingo he still is a good pass rusher.

21) Bengals- Johnthan Banks CB Mississippi St: The Bengals need help in the secondary. They need to improve their safety spots and the corner spot opposite of Dre Kirkpatrick.

22) Rams (From Redskins)- D.J. Fluker OT Alabama: The Rams continue to rebuild their offensive line in this draft. Giving Quarterback Sam Bradford both Cooper and Fluker will help the Quarterback develop.

23) Vikings- Ezekiel Anash DE BYU: Jared Allen is on the wrong side of 30 and Brain Robinson is a solid starter but nothing special. Anash needs time to develop but with time and training he could become a Jason Pierre-Paul type pass rusher.

24) Colts- John Jenkins NT Georgia: The Colts switch to a 3-4 defense last offseason and haven’t found their anchor at noise tackle yet. Jenkins has risen up draft boards in the past few weeks and looks like a lock for the first round.

25) Seahawks- Tyler Eifert TE Notre Dame:  While the Seahawks have Zach Miller at tight end, he is not the athlete that Eifert is. Eifert reminds many scouts of Aaron Hernandez with his ability to create miss-matches.

TRADE ALERT!!! The Packers trade the #26 overall pick to the Ravens for the #31 overall pick, third and sixth round picks.

Explanation: With Ray Lewis retirement the Ravens need to find his replacement as soon as possible, with Te’o and Olgetree both off the board the Ravens must make a move to secure Lewis’ replacement.

26) Ravens- Kevin Minter ILB LSU: Minter is not as talented as either Te’o or Olgetree but still is a first round prospect. It would have been to find Lewis’ replacement before he retired, but better now than never.

27) Texans- DeAndre Hopkins WR Clemson: The Texans need to find a receiver to take some pressure off of Andre Johnson. Hopkins has the potential to turn into a number one option and could replace Johnson in a few years.

28) Broncos- Xavier Rhodes CB Florida St: Champ Bailey is still playing at a high level but he is 34 years old. Tracy Porter can’t stay healthy and the depth is thin. Rhodes isn’t as good as either of the first round SEC corners but he still has huge upside.

TRADE ALERT!!! The Patriots trade the #29 overall pick to the Chiefs for the #34, fourth and fifth round picks.

Explanation: The Chiefs need to find their franchise Quarterback, while there wasn’t one worth taking at number one. They take a flyer on one at number 29.

29) Chiefs- Matt Barkley QB USC: Barkley’s stock has fallen big time over the last year. While he is no longer considered the sure fire franchise quarterback he was last year, he is still worth the risk at number 29.

30) Falcons- Margus Hunt DE SMU: Hunt has shot up draft board over the last few weeks and he has the ability to play both defensive end and defensive tackle in the Falcons 4-3 defense.

31) Packers- Zach Ertz TE Stanford: Jermichael Finley is set to make a lot of money next season and has failed to play at his salary level. He is a likely salary cap casualty so a cheaper replacement is needed.

32) Cowboys- Mike Glennon QB N.C. St: While Tony Romo isn’t likely to be replaced this year, he is on the wrong side of 30 and a replacement needs to be considered sooner rather than later.

33) Jaguars- Justin Hunter WR Tennessee: While the addition of Justin Blackmon in last year’s draft was needed, whoever plays Quarterback next year in Jacksonville needs more play makers on the outside. Hunter is a tall and physical playmaker at 6-4.

34) Patriots- Shariff Floyd DT Florida: The Patriots need a wide receiver but they go best player available instead and take Floyd to add depth behind Vince Wilfork.

35) Eagles- Lane Johnson OT Oklahoma: The Eagles grabbed their franchise Quarterback in the first round and grab offensive line help in the second.

36) Lions- Barrett Jones G/C Alabama: The Lions have their offensive tackles set but their interior offensive line needs improvement. Jones has the ability to play anywhere on the line except left tackle.

37) Bengals- Datone Jones DE UCLA: Jones has shot up draft boards over the last week and with Bengals having free agent questions at defensive end depth will be needed.

38) Cardinals- Eddie Lacy RB Alabama: Bennie Wells said he looks to have a new start with the Cardinals now that Bruce Arians is the head coach but many don’t believe the team wants him back. Lacy is in the conversation for best back in the draft after his bowl game performance.

39) Jets- Eric Reid S LSU: LaRon Landry is set to become a free agent and after a pro bowl season he is likely to demand a huge pay day. Finding his replacement needs to be considered.

40) Titans- Jordan Poyer CB Oregon St: The Titans defense got torched in 2012 and secondary help is needed.

41) Bills- Ryan Nassib QB Syracuse: The Bills hired former Syracuse coach Doug Marrone as head coach so why not draft his former Quarterback? Ryan Fitzpatrick is likely released this offseason due to his high salary cap number, look for a replacement in the draft at some point.

42) Dolphins- Justin Pugh OT Syracuse: The Dolphins are likely to let Joe Thomas leave as a free agent so a replacement is needed.

43) Browns- Khaseem Greene OLB Rutgers: The Browns need to find a new weak side linebacker as Scott Fujita is on the wrong side of 30.

44) Panthers- Menelik Watson OT Florida St: Who? Watson is a little known player to the public but is a day two pick for most scouts. Watson can provide help at right tackle until Jordan Gross retires and then he can slide over to the left side.

45) Chargers- Terrance Williams WR Baylor: After drafting an offensive tackle in the first round the Charger give Rivers more help by drafting a big play wide receiver.

46) Rams- Robert Woods WR USC: The Rams are in the same boat as the Chargers; added offensive linemen in the first round and then a play maker at wide receiver in the second.

47) Cowboys- Sylvester Williams DL UNC: The Cowboys are reportedly switching to a 4-3 defense. Adding Williams who can play DT in the 4-3 and DE in the 3-4 will provide depth in either defensive scheme.

48) Steelers- Desmond Trufant CB Washington: The Steelers defense needs improvement in the secondary and Trufant can play the physical style of defense the Steelers like to play.

49) Giants- Alex Okafor DE Texas: The Giants are likely to let Osi Umenyiora leave as a free agent and Justin Tuck will be 30 years old come the draft. Youth is needed at the defensive end position.

50) Saints- Travis Frederick C/G Wisconsin: The Saints need an improvement at center. Frederick will fit in well with guards Ben Grubbs and Jahri Evans.

51) Redskins- David Amerson CB/S N.C. St: The former top ten prospect has a terrible junior season but yet decided to enter the draft. The Redskins need help at both corner and safety spots and Amerson is a big a physical prospect who can play either position.

52) Vikings- Tavon Austin WR WVU: Why would the Vikings want to add another receiver like Percy Harvin? Think of the play calls the Vikings could make with both Austin and Harvin being able to make plays in space.

53) Bengals- Giovani Bernard RB UNC: While Benjarvus Green-Ellis was signed to be the starter but he was a disappointment in his first season with the Bengals, some competition is need if not a replacement.

54) Dolphins- Logan Ryan CB Rutgers: The Dolphins got this pick for Vontae Davis and their defense struggled after the trade. His replacement is needed.

55) Packers- Khaled Homles C USC: Jeff Saturday is retiring after the pro bowl and his replacement will be needed.

56) Seahawks- Jesse Williams DT Alabama: The Seahawks don’t need a lot of help on defense but some depth at defensive tackle is a needed.

57) Texas- Matt Elam S Florida: The Texans secondary has improved greatly over the last few years but they still lack a long term option at safety.

58) Broncos- Dallas Thomas T/G Tennessee: The Broncos could lose tackle Ryan Clady in free agency and if they do a tackle will be an even bigger need.

TRADE ALERT!!! The Patriots trade the #59 overall pick to the Bears for the Saints third round pick and a 2014 first round pick.

Explanation: The Bears need to improve their offensive line if they ever hope to get their offense working.

59) Bears- Chris Faulk OT LSU: The Bears need to find a blindside protector for Jay Cutler. Faulk is big at 6-6 325 pounds and has a chance to be a good blindside protector.

60) Falcons- Montee Ball RB Wisconsin: The Falcons are likely let Michael Turner go in free agency so some depth will be needed. Ball is the best all-around back in the draft.

61) Ravens- Tony Jefferson S Oklahoma: Ray Lewis will retire after the Superbowl and Ed Reed is a free agent. Even if Reed comes back he only has a year or two left in his career.

62) Cowboys- Corey Lemonier DE Auburn: With the Cowboys likely switching to a 4-3 defense they Cowboys need to add players to fit that defensive scheme.

My Eleventh NFL Mock Draft

Welcome to my eleventh 2012 NFL mock draft. This is my sixth three round mock draft. I predict trades in my mock drafts, because that’s what makes this so much fun!
1) Colts- Andrew Luck QB Stanford: DUH! NEXT!

2) Redskins- Robert Griffin III QB Baylor: DUH! NEXT!
